Connect FM’s annual Radiothon officially kicked off today, with the South Australian community station hoping to raise at least $15,000 this year.
Guests in the studio this morning include local Mayor Liz Goossens, the Bordertown Girl Guides and members of the Tatiara Men’s Shed.
Businesses donating $100 or more will enter a draw to win a morning tea prepared and delivered by the Mayor herself.
Previously known for decades as 5TCB, the station last year ushered in a new era, officially rebranding to Connect FM.
The station was founded by local farmer Gordon Coad in the mid 80s after he heard a segment on ABC Radio about the emergence of community radio.
