Community Broadcasters’ Conference and Awards

This year’s Community Broadcasters’ National Conference and Awards are on from 25-28 November on the Gold Coast.

The highlight of every conference is always the gala awards dinner. Entry forms and guidelines will be available soon, but the major radio categories are:

Excellence in Spoken Word Programming;

Best innovative new program/segment idea;

Station of the Year (in meeting local community needs);

Can’t Get Out Of The Car Award;

Contribution to Local Music;

Excellence in Music Programming;

Contribution to Broadcasting;

Contribution to Ethnic Broadcasting;

Innovative place/subject for an Outside Broadcast;

Best/innovative Idea in Fundraising;

Best/innovative Announcement, Sponsorship or Promotion;

Innovative Station/Program Promotion Idea;

New Voices;

Value For Money;

and the Tony Staley Award (activities promoting values of community radio broadcasting);

Michael Law Award (individual contributions of outstanding service to the sector).
