David Barham is the new interim CEO of RSN

The 3UZ Pty Ltd (RSN) board today announced the appointment of David Barham to the position of Interim CEO of RSN.

Barham is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected sports media executives and strategists, having played chief roles with many broadcasters and sporting bodies across a 30-year career.

These roles have produced countless success stories, from managing major events the scale of Olympic Games, AFL seasons, Formula One Grands Prix, and summers of cricket for Network 10 and the Seven Network, to building sporting brands like the BBL.

He is also currently a director of the Essendon Football Club and Victoria Racing Club, the latter of which he represents on the board of Thoroughbred Racing Productions and, until recently, RSN.

Chairman of 3UZ Pty Ltd, Daryl Henry, heralded the appointment a coup for RSN and says, “We are very fortunate to have a person of David’s calibre and experience accept the role of Interim CEO.

“The board has asked David to review all aspects of our operation, across our broadcast, digital and commercial functions, with a view to supporting us in formulating a strategy and structure to take us into our next phase, as we seek to further engage and grow our audience and create commercial viability and growth.

“His appointment is particularly timely as we make our overdue re-entry to the realm of radio ratings.”

Ahead of his commencement in the role on March 15, Barham says, “I am really looking forward to working with everyone at RSN. This is an exciting opportunity and I believe RSN has great potential and a long and successful future. I can’t wait to start. “
