In further evidence of Super Radio Network’s principals Despina Priala and George Caralis‘s forward momentum, the siblings have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Coastal Broadcasters Pty Ltd.

Coastal Broadcasters have radio stations covering most of tropical north Queensland through 4AM, 4KZ, Kool-FM and KIK-FM, an area larger than Victoria. The late Bill Caralis bought Alice Springs Commercial Broadcasters in 2021, and with that 49% of the Coastal Broadcasters stations too.
The General Manager of NQ Radio Rod Henshaw (pictured), who took the role in February this year, said the board appointments create excellent opportunities designed to enhance programming and Sales potential:
“We will always retain our daily local content out of the Innisfail and Mareeba studios, at the same time exploring additional programming, sales and technical avenues emanating from the Super Radio Network.
While this entire region has suffered the debilitating effects of cyclone Jasper and the subsequent record flooding late last year and early this year, there are genuine signs of recovery.
Listener feedback to the recent improvements to our definitive programming, news services and community involvement is now being reflected in our local and national sales revenue. We are confident that with the innovative programming being rolled out through Super Radio Network in 2025, NQ Radio will consolidate its position as the preferred broadcast medium in North Queensland.”
