Only days after Austereo received the all clear from the Supreme Court to use the disputed slogan, ‘totally different,’ the network plans to introduce it in another city to pre-empt Nova.

Today Triple M Brisbane will unveil “a radio station that is different from anything in the Brisbane market.”

The station has been promising a change of format and image, but was waiting until the court ruling last week to see if it could use the same strategy as Triple M did in Adelaide. “Now the time has come to deliver that difference,” says Austereo, which will roll out a new marketing campaign from this morning.

At 8.30am today, the “totally different” Triple M will be unleashed on Brisbane.

With Nova just announcing its new Brisbane General Manager (see other story), the radio battle promises to get hotter in that city in the next few months.
