Electronic Music Conference hits Kings Cross

The Electronic Music Conference has announced an all-star line up of over 120 Australian electronic music artists for the first ever EMC Play in Kings Cross this December 3-4.

For an early bird price of just $29, ticket holders will get to see performances from a line-up including SAFIA, Wave Racer, Yolanda Be Cool, Cassian, KLP, Ivan Gough, Cosmo’s Midnight, Rainbow Chan, Simon Caldwell, Tigerlilly, Slice N Dice, Kilter, Sable, Gold Fields, L D R U, Yahtzel and many more.

Head of Programming for EMC Play, former FBi Radio General Manager of Music Dan Zilber, said, “The Australian dance music community is in such good health, it’s made my job incredibly enjoyable. I’m really proud of what’s on offer at EMC Play and the amazingly talented artists and crews that represent our nation on dancefloors across the country and around the world. EMC Play will distill this talent in to two action packed nights and I think EMC delegates and punters alike are in for a wild ride.”

EMC founder Neil Ackland said: “The theme for this year’s EMC is ‘Discovery’ and our vision is for EMC Play to be a crucial stepping stone in discovering the next Flume or the next Will Sparks. It gives artists the opportunity to perform in front of some of the world’s biggest talent buyers and A&R Executives, who are coming to Australia exclusively for EMC.”

EMC has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
