A few remarks:
* AM music can outrate FM. 2UE at 5.6 outrates 2DAY and MMM at 4.6 and 5.0 respectively, and 4BH 9.1 outrates KIIS963 on 8.2.
* ABC metro. Why does management make simultaneous changes to its program for all capital cities without examining the individual needs of a particular market?
I am a Sydney listener and as much as Craig Reucassel is a fine reporter through his "War On Waste" series, I may wrongly perceive that he'll talk about the environment to the exclusion of other newsworthy topics.
I may also wrongly perceive that he'll present topics without interviewing alternatives to issues that impact our economic, social and political life due to climate change such as electric cars, whether or not to adopt nuclear energy and alternatives other than wind and solar for powering households.
That wrongful perception may well be based on the ABC always pummelling the viewer and listener on its other programs about climate change.
Conversely, Ben Fordham on 2GB said a few years ago that he believes in climate change. At the same time he'll talk about wind, solar and coal's contribution to the power grid with coal contributing between 68% to 80%.
Ben will also interview people that are pro nuclear.
*SEN. With the exception of Melbourne at 2.7 versus RSN at 0.7, I cannot see how this network survives with ratings consistenly at 0.5 and the lowest ratings on its DAB service?
