Fox FM’s Fifi Box opens up about saving a drowning child’s life

This morning on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Fifi Box opened up about the moment she saved a three-year-old child’s life during a family holiday in the Maldives.

To recount the story, Fifi was joined by two witnesses, Emma and Pete from Brisbane.

They explained that Fifi had been playing with her daughter Daisy in the pool when she noticed a young girl drowning nearby.

Acting instinctively, Fifi raced over, pulled the unconscious child from the water and began resuscitation efforts until the little girl regained consciousness.

Fifi also heard from a Melbourne listener Liz, who was staying at the same resort.

Liz described the scene as chaotic and praised Fifi’s quick actions.

Fifi said the incident left her deeply shaken and emotional.

“There was deathly silence around the pool for minutes afterwards. I started crying and had to leave; Daisy and I left because it was too confronting. Everyone just froze. I was the only adult in the pool, and I turned around; she would have been 10 metres from me but under the water. We didn’t know how long she had been under for. I plucked her up, and she was vomiting water all over me. It was horrible.”

Listen to Fifi, Fev & Nick on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
