An interesting development in the ongoing Kyle Sandilands / ARN saga has seen former Kyle and Jackie O content producer Alfie Laguzza end up working for Triple M. Alfie also works for Kyle directly.
Alfie was let go from ARN last week. According to news.com.au Kyle said he would look after Alfie and the other producers let go that day. Triple M Sydney breakfast co-host Beau Ryan used to occasionally work with Kyle and Jackie O, and three days later Alfie is helping Aaron Woods (the pair pictured main) give away fuel with the Gas Cock.
This movement has a little history to it.
In early March, immediately after Kyle departed, Beau instigated a Triple M segment about Kyle’s generosity to his staff, particularly Alfie:
Now Alfie looks to have ended up at the rival station and network, bringing with it a distinctive Sydney style.
Beau openly talks about Kyle, how Alfie still works for him and how Kyle was the instigator of this move for Alfie to Triple M. Unconventional by traditional radio standards, but a further show that Kyle is still getting a voice in radio circles, beyond the network he once worked for.
