Each morning on GOLD 101.7 from 9-10am, the station will feature a Golden Year.

The Golden Hour will spotlight a different year each day, with key moments, stories, fashion trends, news events and, of course, the music of the era.

Launching the nostalgic fare on air, Christian O’Connell said:

“Welcome to the Golden Year, a brand-new thing. Every day now from 9am to 10am, we pick one year and we have songs and stories from you guys about that year. So, if we’re going to start with one year to be the greatest golden year in this city’s history, you’ve got to go back to 2000. It’s all about the Olympics.”
