It’s a big week for former Triple M Rush Hour Adelaide sporting and broadcasting talent Greg ‘Blewey’ Blewitt and Andrew ‘Jars’ Jarman (both pictured) as they kicked off their podcast together Blewey and Jars Uncut.
Ties are still in place with Triple M however with Blewey covering for Billy Brownless over the next two days (Wed and Thurs 12 & 13 March) as he attends his daughter’s wedding.
Brownless is half of The Rush Hour with JB and Billy which comes out of Melbourne but now also networks to Triple M stations in South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. Blewey and Jars’ drive program on Triple M 104.7 was axed in Adelaide to make way for the networked one.
The JB is James Brayshaw. He was replaced by another casualty, this time of the reshuffle of Triple M Melbourne breakfast last year, Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas, when he took five weeks off earlier this year to make up for his own Channel 7 and Triple M cricket commitments over December and January. JB and Billy haven’t worked together too often this first survey period!
Now that Billy’s away Blewey’s warming the seat a couple of days. He and Brayshaw are friends and former cricketing colleagues having won a Sheffield Shield together for South Australia in an extraordinary drawn final where a 189* from Adam Gilchrist couldn’t quite get WA over the line. They’ll have plenty to talk about and catch up on, not least of all the AFL, NRL and cricket.
