Harvey Norman rules the airwaves

As the economy continues to recover, radio’s biggest retail advertiser, Harvey Norman, is determined to capitalise on renewed consumer confidence by out spending its nearest rival on Radio by 2 to 1 according to latest figures from AirCheck.

AirCheck (a major advertiser with radioinfo) which monitors commercial and song airplay has released data on the top 20 advertisers from all stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth and Adelaide for the month of March 2010.

Harvey Norman tops the list with more than twice the exposures than Consumer Electronics Sales and Service competitor Clive Peeters. Although, to be fair, Harvey Norman advertisers furniture and bedding too.

Practicing what it preaches, the commercial radio industry ensures it promotes itself with sufficient weight with campaigns for Digital and for the power of Radio Advertising.
