Hitz939’s community initiative Hitz Helping Hands is back to support Bundaberg locals doing it tough.

With thanks to the generosity of many local business partners Hitz Helping Hands returns for a 6th year and will distribute $40,000 to residents across the Bundy community in 2026.

Breakfast Duo Matty & Tracey have asked their listeners to get involved by nominating deserving locals who may be facing hardship – whether it’s helping someone through a rough patch, supporting a fresh start, or lending a helping hand when it matters most. Hitz Helping Hands then delivers real support to those who need it most.

General Manager, Jim Ybema of Hitz939 said:

“Hitz Helping Hands is all about community. It’s locals supporting locals, and every year we’re blown away by the generosity and compassion shown by the Bundaberg region.”
