Beau, Cat & Woodsy induct new listeners at ‘Convert ‘Em to the M’s’ Homebush bash

104.9 Triple M Sydney’s Beau, Cat & Woodsy saw a whole lot of new listeners swear an oath in their second annual Convert ‘Em to the M’s Party. It’s little wonder they are the longest-running breakfast show in the city.

Held at the Horse and Jockey Hotel in Homebush, the event saw hundreds of “non-believers” officially cross over to the M’s, trading their old dial habits for a lifetime of rock, sport, and comedy.

The atmosphere was electric, undeniably Sydney and included a set by rockers Jet (pictured above and main with Beau, Cat and Woodsy). Die-hard fans showed up too, sporting their best Triple M merch, one even with an MMM shaved directly into their hair.

There was even a surprise for the hosts when long-time listener Dale used the opportunity to propose to his newly-converted partner, Cassandra. The crowd erupted as she said “yes,” with Jet then launching into their iconic hit “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” providing the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll engagement soundtrack.

Then Larry Emdur took to the stage to lead a roaring rendition of the “Buck’n Oath.” In a spirited pledge of allegiance, converters and long-time listeners alike raised a glass and chanted in unison, swearing on the spirit of Michael Hutchence, the scream of Axl, and the voice of Barnesy to forever pledge their ears to Triple M.

Beau Ryan said:

“There is no way you can spend a day with this crew and not fall in love with what we do. Seeing the room full of people taking the oath and joining the Triple M family is what this show is all about. Having a proposal on top of that? That’s Triple M history right there.”

Listen to Beau, Cat and Woodsy on Sydney’s 104.9 Triple M Sydney from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
