Hobart to host 2025 CBAA Conference

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia has announced that Hobart will be the venue for this year’s CBAA Conference.

To be held from 23–25 October at Crowne Plaza, the CBAA Conference brings together broadcasters, station staff and volunteers, media professionals, technologists, and sector partners for three days of professional development, networking and celebration.

The event also features the annual CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner, recognising excellence and impact in community broadcasting.

The 2025 program will feature keynote speakers including Adrian Sargeant – Professor of Fundraising at the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy and a globally recognised authority on non-profit and media fundraising.

Sargeant will provide practical strategies for increasing donor engagement and building sustainable support for community broadcasters.

Also delivering a keynote address will be writer, director and radio presenter Craig Reucassel, best known for The Chaser, War on Waste and Fight for Planet A.

Reucassel will explore the power of media and storytelling to drive change and inspire action on key social and environmental issues.

Organisations looking to connect with the community broadcasting sector are invited to explore sponsorship and exhibitor packages. Opportunities include onsite exhibition, branded sessions and networking events, and sponsorship of the CBAA Awards.

The official conference website is now live. More info here.
