Gold Coast based Hot Tomato is celebrating its first anniversary.

Despite being the only group to outbid DMG’s Paul Thompson, at a commercial FM licence auction, the station is not getting carried away with its first birthday, with nothing special planned apart from a few promotions.

Before Hot Tomato can lock in another survey for the Gold Coast, it has to wait until Macquarie Bank finalises its acquisition of RG Capital Radio. The takeover must first be ratified by RG Capital shareholders (expected late this month), followed by approval in the Federal Court.
