‘I needed a break’ – Mix94.5’s Kymba addresses time out from radio

Mix94.5‘s Kymba Cahill has returned to her breakfast show with Pete Curulli and Ben Cousins after taking several weeks off air to address the effects of online bullying.

Kymba will continue to remove herself from work socials and messaging saying:

“Everyday we are trying to make everyone’s days better. We’re trying to bring you silliness, we’re trying to have laugh. Even the things that we talk about, the things that we think matter, and honestly I just couldn’t do it under the mental stress I was suffering. I just wasn’t okay.”

Pete said:

“We have a relationship that in 20 years of doing radio I could only have ever dreamed of. I mean this from the bottom of my heart mate that I love you so much and I’m so happy to see you back. But to see you back having been able to go away and heal yourself, and come back great so that we get the Kymba that we love.”

Kymba replied:

“Thank you darling. I love you too. I’m so happy to be back . Let’s just get on with it and have a great time.”

In yesterday’s Xtra Insights survey of the Karratha region of Western Australia, Pete & Kymba with Ben Cousins had more than 50% of the listening audience tuning into their breakfast show.
