From this afternoon Tuesday January 28, till the start of the footy season, those tuning into Triple M’s Rush Hour for the drive home, in South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and of course Victoria, will hear Billy Brownless, as per usual, with his regular co-host James ‘JB’ Brayshaw replaced by Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas. Daisy was a casualty in the reshuffle of Triple M Melbourne breakfast last year. JB returned to the airwaves with Billy last week but now takes the next five off to make up for his own Channel 7 and Triple M cricket commitments over December and January.
Daisy is a familiar fill in on the Rush Hour. He, Wil Anderson and Rosie Walton were given Melbourne Triple M breakfast last July with a week’s notice after the abrupt departure of Marty Sheargold. With minimum fuss or fanfare their audience grew to pull ahead of Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 101.1 by the time they disbanded. Rosie is still part of the new Mick in the Morning breakfast show with Mick Molloy, Nick ‘Roo’ Riewoldt and Titus O’Reily. While Triple M’s AFL commentators have not yet been officially announced, SCA says that Daisy will also be part of the 2025 Triple M AFL commentary team.
Jay Mueller, Content Director Triple M Melbourne said:
“Daisy is an absolute professional, and we love having him as part of the Triple M team. Audiences connect with his honesty and authenticity, and he consistently brings an unmatched energy and enthusiasm to every show. We’re grateful that he continues to be a big part of Triple M.”
Daisy joins Billy till the start of the AFL season, which commences March 7. The end of the measurement period for GfK Radio 360 Survey 1, 2025 is Saturday March 1.
