Jackie O has announced on air on the The Kyle & Jackie O Show that she has a memoir called the whole truth out this October. The whole truth, which she has remarkably managed to keep secret, will feature stories that can’t be shared on air and others that she’s felt unable to, like the breakdown of her marriages to Lee Henderson and Ugly Phil O’Neil.

Jackie said:

“There’s just a lot. I wouldn’t even know where to start. Like, there’s things in there that I’ve never talk about, because I just haven’t felt like I am ready to talk about them. Obviously, I go into [past marriages] but that’s not, you know, it’s just a lot of things.”

Jackie is a female media success story and the book will hold a great deal of interest. What has surprised me is the image that Jackie supplied us and KIIS stations of herself with her copy of the book.

A long time ago I worked as an estate agent (I’ve had a lot of jobs) and you will know as well as I do the effort that goes into presenting a house for sale. One day I was asked by someone to look through a house they were in the process of buying so they could measure a room for furniture. The owners were away, but said yes.

When I and the soon to be new owners arrived there were significant items of clothing on the staircase. We all acknowledged them with our eyes, but talked around it as if they weren’t there.

When the owners came home and clearly scoped out the house, the female half rang me totally mortified.

I mention this because while Jackie looks glorious, as does the book cover, I couldn’t stop looking at the staircase.

I can’t believe that Jackie wouldn’t have seen the dirty linen (which is what I assume it is) behind her and take another pic with the laundry safely ensconced in a basket somewhere.

Or perhaps she did, and decided that part of her whole truth is literally airing her dirty laundry.
