Jane Reilly will join Keith Conlon in a new FIVEaa Breakfast Team next year, revamping the old show, which included John Kenneally, Jane Doyle and Chris McDermott.
Conlon and Reilly are no strangers to working together, in 1985 they worked as a team at ABC891 for 4 years so the chemistry between them is already strong.
Reilly has been the face of Adelaide’s 5pm News Weather Report on TEN since 1996 and has also participated in a variety of feature news stories, with an emphasis on health and family.
“The best part of the job is that I get to work alongside Mr South Australia himself. Working with him every morning will be an absolute honour as I have enormous respect for him,” says Reilly.
Conlon believes no one is more perfect for this role. “She is a clever, charming and dedicated person that Adelaide loves. Just when you think you have everything planned out, a gem like Jane comes along. I can’t wait to be part of what I know will be a very strong show in 2013.”
FIVEaa’s Program Director Brad Hulme says: “Jane is the perfect fit for us. She is the first lady of Adelaide and who better to be sitting alongside Mr South Australia?” She will continue her role as a part of the TEN News team in Adelaide 5pm weekdays.
Reilly “can’t wait to discuss the issues as they unfold and that’s something I’m really excited about. I’m also a mornings person so it’s the perfect gig.”
Keith Conlon and Jane Reilly start on air together from 14th January 2013, from 6-9am weekdays.
