Hobart presenters Kim and Dave are calling it quits after 8 years on the breakfast shift at Sea FM. They finished last week and plan to take holidays before looking for new opportunities.

The pair say the decision to leave is their own and that they have loved every minute of their 8 years on breakfast together.

Kim Gale and Dave Noonan blame family illness, lack of sleep and a marriage breakdown for their decision to work more sociable hours. Dave has been at the station for 14 years, more than half of them in the breakfast time slot.

Both announcers plan to travel once they leave the station, Dave to India with his wife and Kim to Vietnam. Kim Gale’s 20 year marriage ended this year. After their holidays, both plan to stay in Tasmania and take up new opportunities.
