Laws on Route 66

In conjunction with Sony Music, John Laws has released a CD of 22 legendary driving songs.

On sale from today, the ‘John Laws on Route 66’ album was compiled after Lawsie’s recent promotion, ‘Get you’re kicks on Route 66’.

The CD is inspired by the most famous highway in the US, which Laws describes as “… the ‘Mother Road’ across the American heartland.”

There are songs from artists such as Nat King Cole, Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins, Dionne Warwick, Roy Orbison and many more.

The CD is targeted at 2UE’s Baby Boomer demographic of 35-64s, who grew up with these tracks.

It costs only $19.95 and is available from all music retailers.

In the recent Route 66 promotion, Sydney woman, Annette Turner, won a $30 000 holiday to the US!

Through Qantas, Harvey World Travel and Trafalgar Tours, Annette and her husband will fly business class on Wednesday to Chicago and spend 13 days on a luxury coach tour down Route 66, back to Los Angeles. And, 2UE and Laws have kicked in $1000 spending money.

There were also 20 daily winners, who all received a RM Williams pack, worth more than $500 and selected weekends away at Rafferty’s Resort.
