Life FM is encouraging Adelaide fashion lovers to Op till you Drop again with vintage and sustainable shoppers to converge for the second edition of the city’s largest thrift market, on the back of a huge debut in 2025.
Life FM’s Op till You Drop Community Market will again take over Harts Mill, Port Adelaide, on Saturday April 18. The best-known and most unique community op shops across SA, and vintage resellers, will converge for one day only, alongside food, coffee and a kids’ play area, allowing locals to support vital charities and Life FM, a listener-funded community radio station known for sharing positive, influential content.
The concept of the market was born from a desire to bring all corners of the community together to support the financial needs of the charities that help thousands every year. For Life FM the project means being able to give back to the community.
Mary-Anne (Maz) Maio from the Life FM Events team credits the station’s Operations and Fundraising Manager Lorrene McClymont for the unique concept:
“Our Fundraising Manager, Lorrene, and a former team member at Life FM originally came up with the concept a while ago, and after the huge success of the 2025 debut event – which saw upwards of 3,000 walk through the doors – we couldn’t wait to work on the next edition!
Being a community radio station and particularly a Christian radio station, one of our key focuses is on outreach and being a positive focus for all members of the community.
Op till you Drop promises a fun, family-friendly day out that is suitable for all budgets and encourages sustainability and ‘closed-loop’ purchasing, as well as awareness and fundraising for the work conducted by charities across Adelaide.”
Op-shops already signed up for April include Vinnies, Red Cross, Elcies, Nu4U, Second Chances SA, Worn Again and Treasured Op Shop.
More information on the Op till You Drop market will be available at mylifefm.com and via the event’s Facebook page.
Entry to the market is by gold coin.
