Luke Bona is the former Triple M host that 2GB’s Ben Fordham hinted at, who is joining Nine Radio, but there will be no change to the current lineups.
Luke will cover for Clinton Maynard on Drive over Easter and will also have his own segment The Bona Report every Thursday morning from 4-5am as part of the new Phil O’Neil overnight program. Phil moved from WSFM himself. Luke will also fill in elsewhere where required. As to what else there is, Luke said:
“Me and Byrnesy (Greg Byrnes) are going to nut it out after I speak to you.”
Listen to Ben’s chat this morning with Luke below.
Luke spoke about how 2GB was his very first job (back in 1978) and how the podcast, called Bonafide, is still going ahead, commencing this week.
With the loss of a few 2GB on-air staff last year including Ray Hadley and Chris O’Keefe, the established name, voice and audience of Luke Bona on standby is a very handy acquisition by the station indeed.
