Management shakeout in progress at Macquarie Media

A radioinfo source has suggested Macquarie Media’s Operations Director Paul Bowd has tonight left the building.

It was reported yesterday senior staff at Macquarie Media were nervous that management positions around the country may be cut following the announcement this week of the company’s  9% revenue fall.

It’s also understood and widely reported, with no official response, that 6PR‘s General Manager Martin Boylen has also left the company.

Chairman Russell Tate was quoted as being “disappointed” at the revenue fall this week, but “confident” of achieving full year profit (EBITDA) forecasts in the range of $20 – $25 million.

There are two ways to achieve profit – get more revenue or cut costs.
