Maz and Dan leaving Nova for SCA

In an internal memo, DMG group PD Paul Jackson announced that two thirds of the Nova 919 breakfast show Maz and Dan “have made the decision to leave the dmg Radio Network.”

In the memo, he said, “Maz and Dan have had a terrific journey with Nova, from presenting nights nationally to Adelaide breakfast, so can leave the company with their heads held high as this chapter of their lives comes to an end and a new chapter begins for them on national nights with SCA.

“I’m sure they’ll remain fully committed to their friends and colleagues at Nova for the remainder of this year and we look forward to the night’s radio battle in 2013!!”

“We have an outstanding track record for developing and nurturing exceptional talent both on and off air and with the forthcoming announcements of a new Program Director and breakfast show for Nova 919, I know I can assure you of continued success in 2013,” read Paul Jackson’s memo.

There was no word in the memo about the future of the third member of the team, Shane Lowe. No one from the network was available for comment.

But a spokesperson for Southern Cross Austereo told us, “We are always considering how our line-up looks year by year, but this is currently pure speculation.”
