One of Australia’s most recognisable news themes is arguably the ABC’s.

The abridged version of Majestic Fanfare, written by British Composer Charles Williams in 1935 was first used as the ABC news theme on 1 January 1952.

triple J uses its own remix, which includes a sample from hip-hop group NWA’s F—Tha Police.

In August this year, it was reported the ABC planned to update its news themes.

But ofcourse, every radio station has their signature news theme.
