Entertainer and writer Tony Moclair has joined 3AW, 2UE and network stations as the new full-time host of the Australia Overnight program.
Moclair will keep overnight listeners entertained and informed from midnight to 5.30am each weekday in Melbourne on 3AW, Sydney on 2UE and regional areas.
Moclair is already well-known to the 3AW audience, having hosted Friday Night Lights last summer, and featuring as a regular guest on 3AW Afternoons and Weekend Break. He’s been a radio broadcaster for almost two decades.
3AW Operations Director Stephen Beers said Moclair will bring a unique mix of news and fun to the show:
“Tony’s a proven broadcaster and entertainer, and his natural curiosity for world affairs make him the perfect fit for Australia Overnight.
“He’s also a passionate Carlton supporter, but no one’s perfect.”
What was wrong with Luke Bona? He had such a following. Surely someone else could have replaced Stuart Bocking on Mornings at 2UE?? I'm slowly watching my favourite station 2UE disintegrate. I'm dreading this so called "Lifestyle 2UE" that launches in September. Advertorials I'm reading along with cooking, fishing and God knows what else. I just hope John and Gary, George and Paul, and Mike Jerrreys. If any of them go well, after so many years listening I think I'll be off. To where? Maybe 702? Forget about the shock jocks of 2GB. And what about Stuart Bocking producing his rival to 2GB? Poor bloke!!!
