Austereo CEO Michael Anderson has announced the appointment of Shaun Gough as program director for Triple M Melbourne and Derek Bargwanna as program director for 92.9FM Perth.

Gough joins Triple M from 92.9FM, where he has been program director, while Bargwanna is currently the executive producer of Sydney’s number one FM breakfast show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Anderson says: “Shaun has played a major role in helping 92.9 regain its strong position in the Perth market.

“He has demonstrated exceptional talent and was the stand-out candidate for the Triple M role.

“Derek has a natural ability to direct and nurture talent and he has been a key contributor to the success of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“It’s a credit to him that he has developed his natural ability to be able to step up to a program director role.”

The appointments will take effect next month.
