New stations for Goulburn and Braidwood

The ABA has decided to make channels available for a new permanent community licence in Braidwood and a new national radio service in Goulburn. The decisions are contained in the varied licence area plan for Goulburn.

The Braidwood community radio service will operate on FM 94.5 from Mt Gillamatong with a maximum ERP of 100 W (omnidirectional and mixed polarisation); and the national service will operate on FM 99.9 from Mt Gray with a maximum ERP of 200 W (omnidirectional and mixed polarisation).

The community radio service will be made available by the merit-based system.

Braidwood FM Inc, which has been operating under a temporary community broadcasting licence since January 2003, has expressed an interest in providing a permanent community radio service in Braidwood.
