Nova has introduced a cross brand announcer role with Jamie Rowe from smoothfm Melbourne also presenting Nova 919 Adelaide Afternoons.
 
The move means Cale Porter, whose Afternoon show had reached a record 14.2% share, and who has been with Nova for almost seven years, no longer has a place within the network.
 
The move will give the Adelaide station a slightly older sound.
 
Cale, who says he was “devastated” by the move, had also been the regular fill-in for Smallzy nationally during survey breaks, on The Fresh 40 and had hosted Nova 96.9’s Weekends.
 
Currently Cale has a casual role at Mix 102.3.
