NRL tough guys don bubble wrap to play football

Never let it be said that Triple M’s The Grill Team shies away from the latest craze – especially if it resembles sport.

Yesterday The Grill Team invaded the Western Sydney Wanderers first home game for a match of Bubble Football. What is it? Bubble Football sees grown men attempting a game of soccer while wearing giant inflatable ‘zorb’ suits.

Obviously this was not their best sport. The game resembled human lawn bowls, with the Grillers and their teammates spending most of the time rolling around the pitch and falling over.
Most time spent on (the) ground went to Matt ‘MG’ Geyer, who had his eyes on Gus Worland for the whole seven minutes, resulting in the whiteant on his backside for most of the game.

The Bubble Football antics did not stop on the field when the boys found a second use for the outfits. ‘MG’ and Gus stitched Matty Johns up by throwing snakes inside his Bubble Football outfit. Matty, who is terrified of snakes (both real and plastic), was not impressed.
