PURE puts it on the road with their best in car DAB+ yet

The new PURE Highway 300Di is a retro fit device that promises to not only upgrade the average car to DAB+ but also provide fingertip control for iPhones, iPods & Pads and almost any USB device plugged through it. And the reception (in every sense of the word) when it is released next month should be phenomenal.

The reception, in the technical sense, that provides the strongest signal for outstanding DAB+ performance comes from an active (read powered) aerial that is fitted to your windscreen.

The Highway 300Di has dual digital radio tuners to provide a dynamic station list; while you listen to one station, Highway constantly monitors for new stations, keeping the station list perfectly up to date.

The Highway when released is expected to retail for $499, but it needs to be installed by a professional as it is made up of three components: a main unit that fits behind the dash or in the glove box; a controller which sits on the dash and is detachable, and  an aerial.

Pure Australasia Managing Director, Graeme Redman says that there’ll be a list of trained installers ready to go as soon as the product is launched.

“I have had an early engineering sample, in my car for the last 6 weeks and find it an amazing product, all stations in high quality stereo and NO interference. Really transforms listening to radio in the car,” Mr Redman told us.

Well, he would say that wouldn’t he. So we’ll get one installed and operating as soon as we can after launch to give you our opinion.
