Radio and TV joinforces to raise money for kids
Since its inception in 1968, Telethon has raised over $103 million for WA’s sick children and now the Spirit Network is getting involved with the ‘Spirit Radiothon for Telethon.’
The first of its kind in WA, the Spirit Radiothon for Telethon is a 24 hour live radio show featuring some of Australia’s biggest stars getting involved to raise money for WA’s favourite charity.
The show will be hosted by a range of your favourite Spirit presenters with guest hosting spots from Delta Goodrem, Evermore, Johnny Ruffo and Perth’s very own Timomatic and many more big names from the world of Australian music and entertainment.
Spirit breakfast presenter Justin Thomson said the Radiothon is a great way for the people of regional WA to dig deep for Telethon.
“Regional WA plays a major role in donating to Telethon each year and the generosity of regional West Australians is a credit to the state,” Thomson said.
The Radiothon goes live on Saturday from 11am until 11am Sunday October 14.
