Robbie Von will fill in for Allan Aldworth on HIT WA breakfast, hosting the show alongside Carly Portch, as Allan takes paternity leave to welcome his first child.

Allan has hosted the breakfast show for three years, two and a half of them with Carly. He and his wife Julia are expecting a baby girl any day now and he’s taking two months off to settle into life as a new dad, returning mid-September.

Allan said:

“Despite all the awesome changes to come with being a new parent, I suspect I might be awake even earlier than a brekky radio alarm. Good luck to Robbie as he looks after my other baby – the show, not Carly!”

Robbie Von became the Triple M WA Breakfast announcer at the start if this year, so the babysitting job requires only a mosey down the corridor. He said:

“After an extensive nationwide search, it became clear that no-one was available, so I’ve pulled a Bradbury to keep Allan’s seat warm! In all seriousness, I’m really looking forward to a brief stint in the HIT WA Breakfast hotseat. Carly is an absolute crack up (the two are pictured main and below) and it’s going to be a lot of fun sharing the studio for a couple of months!”

Allan & Carly – with Robbie starts this Monday July 15 on HIT WA and the LiSTNR app. Robbie & Carly will commence a four day regional tour of Kalgoorlie the following Monday July 22.

Corey Sutton will look after Triple M WA breakfast while Robbie helps out on HIT.
