SCA small business roadshow heads to regional Qld

SCA is running a series of small business roadshows throughout regional Queensland, presented by the Small Business Big Marketing podcast host, Tim Reid, to help assist regional small businesses succeed through smart marketing.

The breakfast events will be held during the months of September and October and attended by SCA’s advertising partners and other SMEs in the local communities of Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast.

During the events, Reid will share his practical advice on how SMEs can get a solid return from their marketing efforts to drive better business outcomes. Reid will also guide small business owners to make a one-minute marketing video during each event, which will be entered into a draw to win an advertising package on SCA’s Hit and Triple M stations in each market.

As part of the roadshow events, Reid will produce eight new episodes in his Small Business Big Marketing podcast devoted to showcasing regional Australian businesses in each of the markets he is visiting.

The new episodes will give businesses in these regional areas hope and inspiration by hearing stories from others just like them. Each guest will be selected based on how they have nailed at least one aspect of their marketing, such as networking, radio advertising, social media ads, customer service and ecommerce.

Tim Reid says, “Too many business owners find marketing too challenging, too expensive, too time-consuming, and as a result, they ignore it at the expense of growing their precious businesses into the empires they deserve to be. Having interviewed over 550 successful business owners about their marketing, one thing is crystal clear: they have a deep respect for marketing and actually enjoy it. In fact, I’d go as far as saying they’ve turned marketing their business into a hobby! And that’s what I want to show business owners how to do throughout regional Queensland. And we’re going to have a lot of fun in the process.”

SCA Chief Sales Officer, Brian Gallagher, says, “SCA’s radio stations play a vital role in regional communities, and we have a strong track record of helping small businesses grow and succeed in many markets. We are committed to investing in these regional areas by equipping local business owners with the skills they need to grow their businesses. Tim is the country’s foremost expert on SME business growth and marketing and will provide valuable business building advice that these communities rarely or ever have access to.”

The first event kicks off in Cairns on Tuesday 7th September.

The new episodes on the Small Business Big Marketing podcast will be available weekly on LiSTNR from 7 September.
