US regulators have finally approved the merger of satellite radio companies Sirius and XM. The combined companies will have 18 million subscribers.

The decision comes almost a year and a half after the companies first proposed a merger.

Based on yesterday’s closing share prices, the deal is valued at $3.3 billion, not including debt.
