Federal treasurer the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP will hand down his fourth budget this Tuesday March 25 at around 7:30pm AEDT, a pre-election one important to the hopes of the Labor Party retaining power. The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) have three specialist reporters ready to help unpack it, both before and after the announcement. They are in Canberra and available for interviews with community broadcasters.
The reporters are:
– Emma Myers (Disability Rights Reporter, Powerd) – Covering how the Budget impacts people with disability.
– Noah Secomb (Federal Politics Reporter, National Radio News) – Breaking down key political issues.
– Micah Kickett (First Nations Affairs Reporter, National Indigenous Radio Service and Koori Mail) – Analysing funding for Closing the Gap targets, housing, and food security.
You and your community station can book an interview before the Budget lock-up or on Wednesday morning March 26 as to who the winners and losers are.
Email Martin Davies at [email protected] for more information and to set up an interview.
