Spotify launches Premium Audiobooks feature

Spotify has launched its Premium Audiobooks feature in Australia and the UK today, giving users access to a catalogue of 150,000 audiobooks.

The Spotify Premium Audiobooks feature allows for 15 hours of listening per month as part of exisiting Premium subscriptions, with additional 10 hour allocations available for purchase.

Auto bookmark features will allow Premium/master account users to pick up where they left off with the additional option to download books for listening offline. 

With access to top publishers including, Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Hachette, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and RB Media, as well as independent publishers like Dreamscape and Pushkin, this makes Spotify’s Premium Audiobooks range one of the largest audiobook ranges on the market.

Spotify says, “the introduction of Premium Audiobooks is a new step forward in Spotify’s evolution as a platform.”

To find an audiobook title, Premium users can search a title in the home feed search bar and Spotify’s Audiobooks hub.
