Hit the top in Kingaroy, 4SB surges – Xtra Insights

The latest Xtra Insights survey of theKingaroy region of Queensland, the first since 2023, is similar in vein to Mt Isa a couple of weeks ago. Hit89.1 is top for SCA and increased its share of audience preferred station to 27.3%, but the Resonate Network‘s 4SB, who share advertising with SCA, had an exceptional result, more than doubling their audience to 19.2%.

Larry Cann (pictured), the multi talented singer, songwriter, rodeo announcer and CMA International Broadcaster Of The Year, who hosts 4SB breakfast, came so close to knocking Bronte and Lakey on Hit89.1, who are networked from the Gold Coast from No 1, 24.7 preferred to 20.5. Larry nearly tripled the audience from 2023. 4SB saw the 10-17 audience increase from 2.2 to 30.7% preferred.

ABC Southern Queensland saw improvement whereas other ABC stations did not. Hit, 4SB and ABC Southern Queensland also saw an uptick in cume audience, with 4SB’s growing the most.
