triple j Unearthed has searched the country for the best high school-aged artists in Australia and narrowed down to five the finalists in the running to win triple j’s Unearthed High in 2026.
There were more than 1000 entries and The Unearthed team listened to every submission. There’s been some mighty past Unearthed High finalists and winners include Genesis Owusu, The Kid LAROI, Gretta Ray, Hockey Dad, The Rions, Mariae Cassandra, Teenage Joans and more, who went from school assignments to festival stages.
This years Unearthed High finalists are 14-year-old, Sunshine Coast based singer, songwriter and producer Alli Kate, Melbourne-based multi-hyphenate Lithu, Novocastrian indie rock/post-punk three piece Trophy Wyfe, heavy five-piece TwoSeventy, and 15-year-old Boorloo/Perth based Zoevi.
