‘That’s a wrap’: Nic Healey heads to ABC Shepparton

ABC Dubbo announcer Nic Healey is moving to Shepparton ABC to host breakfast from the end of this month.

Sharing the news on Facebook this week, Nic said he will miss Dubbo.

“I’m leaving Dubbo and NSW. I’m off to become Victorian and host the brekky show at the ABC Shepparton from late October,” said Nic.

“That’s a wrap on three years of breakfast shows. Thank you, Mel, for a laminated walk down amnesia lane and thanks to the whole ABC Western Plains team for the most perfect of farewell gifts.”

“I’ll miss Dubbo so much, but I’m crazy excited for what’s next. (And yes, being a couple of hours from Melbourne and just 50 minutes down the road from my folks is going to be amazing).

Nic is originally from Deniliquin in the Riverina area of NSW.

Finding his passion for journalism as a student at the University of Wollongong, Nic edited magazines after Uni before discovering radio.

Eventually, volunteer work with community radio led to a breakfast slot in Sydney, Karratha, Dubbo and now Shepparton.
