2UE’s Tim Webster is recovering well after an operation to remove a cancerous tumour. Webster, 60, co-host of Sports Today, has undergone surgery in a Sydney hospital to remove a tumour near his oesophagus and stomach.

Doctors detected the cancer early and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Tim’s resting comfortably in hospital and is due to return to air in the coming months.

His family has requested privacy at this time.
