Each November triple j celebrates local Aussie talent through live music, radio and TV specials and the highly coveted J Awards, forming a month-long celebration of Australian music aptly named Ausmusic Month.
In 2014, as part of Ausmusic Month, triple j and ARIA began Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, the ultimate Mufti Day for music fans where the idea was to show support for artists by buying and wearing their merchandise , in turn helping them tour and continue to make the music their fans love.
This year Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is being held on Friday 15 November, so but a t-shirt from a favourite artists website, merchandise store or gig, wear it on T-Shirt day and share a photo and tag it with #AusmusicTshirtDay and @triplej.
Donations can also be made to Support Act, who raise funds for artists, crew and music workers experiencing financial hardship due to injury, physical and mental health issues.
