Triple M Adelaide turns format ‘upside down’

As foreshadowed on radioinfo some weeks ago, Triple M Adelaide has announced impending format changes.

The station will launch a totally different format from Wednesday November 5th, which is expected to be more “edgier” than the current station sound.

Austereo Adelaide PD Craig Bruce told radioinfo about “the dramatic change” planned for Triple M:

“Everything about the station is going to be different. Different to what Triple M is now or ever has been and so different to any other radio station in Adelaide.

“We’re going to be playing stuff that’s never seriously been played on Adelaide radio before. It’ll have a much younger, energetic, edgier.

“We identified a huge hole in the market place that up until now hasn’t been filled. A generation of radio listeners has been ignored for too long. From Wednesday November 5, that changes.”

Triple M is expected to announce a new lineup of presenters as part of the change. To facilitate the expected lineup changes at Triple M, some current presenters are being moved around.

Triple M presenter Sheridan Stewart has moved to SAFM as Morning Announcer, joining Milly who recently made the move to SAFM’s new Breakfast show.

”This is an amazing opportunity for SAFM to reach even greater heights by adding some of Adelaide’s favourite personalities and features like the No Repeat Workday and those fun 80s songs that we grew up with,” said Craig Bruce.
