Triple M to host homegrown talent throughout October

The Triple M Network is set to deliver a month celebrating Aussie music across all 36 stations, plus digital radio this October.

Each day of October, all of the greatest hits from homegrown artists will be heard, and a daily lunch time show, hosted by Screaming Jets front man Dave Gleeson and Dave Faulkner from the Hoodoo Gurus, will feature the stories behind the songs.

Triple M’s Head of Content, Mike Fitzpatrick says, “Aussie music is at the very heart of Triple M and this October we pay tribute to how these artists have shaped our culture.”

The Easybeats, ACDC, INXS, Cold Chisel, Silverchair, Amy Shark, Vance Joy… the list is a very very long one. Not only are we excited to feature their music but listeners will gain an insight into their world both then and now,”

The month-long celebration will conclude with two Oztober Garage Sessions hosted by Triple M in Melbourne and Tropical North Queensland.

Listeners will have the chance to win tickets to the ultimate Aussie experience with exclusive live performances by some of the Aussie greats – Birds of Tokyo, The Living End and Paul Kelly in Melbourne Monday 29 October and Diesel, Ian Moss, Screaming Jets and Birds of Tokyo in Tropical North Queensland Wednesday 31 October.
