105.1 Triple M Melbourne‘s breakfast team for 2025 has been announced. And it really is a team with the show to be called Mick in the Morning, with Roo, Titus and Rosie, that is Mick Molloy, Nick ‘Roo’ Riewoldt, Titus O’Reily and Rosie Walton.
As Cotton Eye Joe would ask, where have they come from and where did they go?
Mick Molloy is returning to Melbourne, his hometown. He is currently hosting Sydney Triple M Breakfast with Mark MG Geyer.
Nick Riewoldt is a smoky who wasn’t on my bingo card at all. A former AFL star, who holds the all-time record for most marks in VFL/AFL history, Nick’s most recent connection with Triple M was as part of this year’s AFL grand final coverage and commentary. He has recently returning home to Melbourne with his wife and young family after a couple of years living in the US. To make this more confusing for those who’ve only seen the headline, Triple M in 2025 will have two AFL great Roos on breakfast shows. Nick in Melbourne and Mark ‘Roo’ Ricciuto as part of Roo, Ditts and Loz who are the top rating breakfast team in Adelaide.
Also making his breakfast radio debut is Titus O’Reily who has been collaborating with Mick Molloy on the LiSTNR podcasts Animal Bizarre and Sports Bizarre with Mick Molloy and Titus O’Reily, and star of Triple M Workdays and The Hot Breakfast. Titus is an author, comedian and a joyous exaggerator of the truth, if I go off his bio.
Finally, Rosie Walton. The only one of the current Melbourne interim breakfast team who will remain in their role. Wil Anderson and Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas are her current co-hosts.
The new Melbourne breakfast show launches on Monday 20 January 2025. What will happen with regard to Triple M Sydney Breakfast next year we’ll discover soon.
Molloy said:
“I’m excited to be back behind the mic in my hometown, talking about all things Melbourne, with some of my favourite people every morning. There’s a fair chance that the Tigers may come up from time to time; what could possibly go wrong?”
Riewoldt said:
“After two rewarding years in Houston, Texas with Cath’s family, I’m excited to be returning home to Melbourne joining Mick and the Triple M Breakfast team back where it all started for me on radio. Triple M is a vibrant part of Melbourne’s heartbeat, celebrating the city’s spirit, its music, and its people. To be bringing the sounds and stories of Melbourne to life every day through our listeners is a privilege I don’t take for granted.”
The Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus & Rosie Breakfast show will run from 6am-9am weekdays, on 105.1 Triple M Melbourne and on LiSTNR.
