The publication, which is available in Open Access, has been produced “in context of growing international concern about a ‘disinformation war’ in which journalism and journalists are prime targets.”

The aim of the book is “to serve as a model curriculum, this handbook is designed to give journalism educators and trainers, along with students of journalism, a framework and lessons to help navigate the issues associated with ‘fake news’.”

Useful as a guide for practising journalists, the book draws on the input of leading international journalism educators and is divided into modules with lessons that are contextual, theoretical and practical.
