Tributes are flowing following the passing of Adelaide radio legend David Day.
The man who founded the SA Music Hall of Fame passed away after battling health issues for a number of years at the age of 63.
104.7 Classic Triple M Adelaide played a tribute this morning to the man known as “Daisy,” led by announcer Sean Craig-Murphy who caught up with Daisy just six weeks ago.
They also reflected on his work on Triple M last year with the Classic Albums that Changed Your Life.
David Day spent more than 40 years in radio, starting his on air career at 2VM, Moree in 1969. By 1975 he’d made it to Adelaide’s 5KA and in 1980 was a founding member of SAFM where he was creative director and assistant PD. He formed his Australian Radio School in 2000 and still found time to consult with Phil Dowse to stations in Ireland, England, U.S.A. and Europe. The school is now owned by Sean Craig Murphy.
