Radio and TV presenter, podcaster and comedian Merrick Watts popped in to see The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick to talk about his potential next career move now he has admitted he won’t return to SAS Australia as a co-host with Ant Middleton.
He was asked whether he’d consider I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here Australia:
Nick Cody: “Is there a chance you would go into the jungle on I’m A Celeb?”
Merrick: “I don’t know. I have been asked about it before.”
Brendan Fevola: “You’d be funny!”
Merrick: “It’s just too much sitting around for me. I’m one of those people that can’t stand still.”
Fev: “But that’s the beauty of it because that’s when people break.”
Merrick: “Yeah, I do like that part.”
Fev: “It was the best fun I’ve ever had.”
Merrick: “What’s the hardest part, Fev?”
Fev: “Leaving! (laughs) I could live there. The hardest part was not having TV and knowing about sport because it was during footy season. That did my head in.”
Nick: “Are you asking him that (Merrick) because you’re a great interviewer or because you’re going into the jungle?”
Merrick: “No, I’m not going into the jungle… or I dunno, maybe I am.”
Fev: “You are going in!”
Hmmmm. I think this could be a smoke screen from Watts. He and wife Georgina live in Sydney’s Maroubra. There is a job vacancy there with SCA at the moment as a Triple M Breakfast host. Just saying, in case the male model job (main picture from Facebook) doesn’t work out.
